Committees

    Program Committee

The committee serves as the "creator" of each program offered to the membership and is responsible for seeking out and confirming a variety of educational, stimulating and entertaining Human Resource related presentations/speakers for the Association's monthly meetings. Outlines are requested by sponsoring committee members and presented to the board for discussion. The sponsoring member is then responsible for contacting presenters, etc. This group will also be responsible for submitting the content to HRCI for re-certification credits.  We welcome anyone interested in developing enlightening and interesting program choices for the membership!

    Membership Committee

This committee serves as an important contact with members and interested people, providing information about SSCHRA, how to join, and the upcoming events members should attend. It is our desire to provide each new member, after receiving payment, a welcoming letter, a receipt and a meeting schedule, and a membership directory. For meetings and events, the Committee compiles a list of attendees and distributes nametags at the beginning of each meeting. As each calendar year approaches, the Membership Committee coordinates the re-enrollment of members, the collection of yearly dues, and creates a new membership directory.

    College Relations Committee

This committee is designed to enhance the interaction between HR professionals, local college professors, and students who are involved in human resources management education. They encourage college students to pursue careers in human resources management; and improves the quality of education in area secondary schools so that today's students will be better prepared to become tomorrow's workforce.

    Communications Committee
The committee provides timely and comprehensive information about programs, workshops, and other matters of interest to the chapter.  Manages the SSCHRA website, administers correspondence through the e-mail list-serv, manages the chapter email and coordinates social media activity. Also, writes articles to be published in Illinois SHRM and National SHRM Newsletters.

If you are interested in working on any of these committees, please contact our President at the next meeting or send us an email - paulette.clark@sschra.org.
