'Our FMLA Journey'
Our speaker, Vicki LaForte, will tell a story of a company with approximately 7000 employees (primarily unionized) and its journey from being essentially non-compliant in FMLA administration to now being start of art. She will describe the processes and challenges and how to turn your headaches with administering FMLA around.
About the Speaker:
Vicki LaForte is a Benefits Advisor at CN - Canadian National Railway, based in Homewood IL and has primary responsibility for overseeing the leave of absence administration for approximately 1000 management employees, as well as administration of absences under the Family and Medical Leave Act for a total of approximately 7000 employees who work in 13 US States.
Prior to joining CN in October 2008, Vicki worked in the Employee Benefits Division at the Horton Group in Orland Park, and prior to that was a Membership Services Representative at Illinois Central Hospital Association in Tinley Park.
Vicki is a graduate of Northern Illinois University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.
