    The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the private employee benefit plan system in the United States. EBSA's oversight authority extends to nearly 694,000 retirement plans, approximately 2.2 million health plans, and a similar number of other welfare benefit plans, such as those providing life or disability insurance. 

    For this presentation, our presenter Zinnia Adams will discuss what to expect from an EBSA investigation :

    1. Overview of the agency
    2. What type of investigations are conducted by the agency
    3. What the focus of the investigation encompasses

    Zinnia Adams is an Investigator for the US Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administrator Chicago Regional Office where she investigates both civil and criminal cases. Zinnia is a Certified Fraud Examiner and she received her MBA in Finance from Keller Graduate School of Management. Zinnia also attended Chicago State University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. She began her government career in 2007 at the US Postal Service before accepting a position with the US Department of Labor in November 2014.   

    Zinnia spends her free time both traveling the world and teaching financial literacy. She is a personal advocate for personal finance education for youth, as well as, adults.
