    Dr. Michael A. Pinnock is a Human Resources Business Partner for            Lockheed Martin, where he provides strategic human resources and labor relations support for 250+ employees on Long Island who work on a            classified program responsible for one of the country’s most important strategic nuclear deterrent programs for the military. 

    He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy in 1999, and a Master of Professional Studies in Human Resources Management in 2000, both from Stony Brook University. Since completing his master’s, he has worked in human resources for companies such as Whole Foods Market, the Home Depot, and Con Edison. 

    Dr. Pinnock completed a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Organizational Leadership at Northeastern University in 2020. His research is centered around African American men in Corporate America. Michael is passionate about diversity and inclusion and works to create spaces of belonging for all employees daily with a special focus on underrepresented employees. 

    In 2019, he was selected as a Hilliard and Sizemore fellow.  This fellowship is for early career scholars and advanced graduate students chosen to work directly with established researchers on questions and methods that inform studies on African Americans in education.
