    Technological advancements have made it possible for people to work from anywhere at any time.  However, this has caused us to feel like we can never get away from work and have the downtime that we need in order to be at our best.  When we don't give ourselves time to rest and recover, we are at a greater risk for burnout.  Burnout can mean that we are feeling exhausted and that a weekend of sleeping in can help us recover or it can be a total physical and mental breakdown requiring medical attention.

    The Five Habits of Destructive HR Leaders is the first in a series of multi-media presentations that Chapters can use to help their members brush up on competencies from the SHRM HR Competency Model. 

    The volunteer facilitator for this presentation will be Sharon Cruse Armstead, SPHR, SHRM-SCP.  She is the Human Resources/Training Manager for New Star and serves as the  VP Membership for SSCHRA.
